The U.S. Senate is posed to vote on the Natural Resources Management Act this week, and Keep America Fishing says the group would improve and enhance access to fishing.
The bill would fund conservation efforts around the country, the group said.
The package contains a permanent reauthorization of the Land and Water Conservation Fund, a section enhancing and increasing public land access for anglers.
It includes language that would improve outdoor recreation access and more than 10 bills related to land conveyances, exchanges and conservation projects.
The bill also withdraws more than 30,000 acres near Yellowstone from mining operations, which will help prevent potential degradation of the Yellowstone River’s water quality and world-famous fishery, according to the group.
The group is encouraging anglers and fishing advocates to take action here.
