The Association of Marina Industries Conference & Expo will feature a keynote address by speaker Bill Benjamin: “Build a High-Performance, Last 8% Culture.” The conference runs Jan. 30 to Feb. 1, 2024, at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and the keynote is scheduled for Jan. 31.

Benjamin’s 30 years of business experience includes work with the U.S. Marines, NASA, Intel, Goldman Sachs and the Mayo Clinic. He’s a partner at the Institute for Health and Human Potential and is a former sales and marketing executive in the IT industry.

“Bill addresses all those tough conversations that we tend to avoid because they are uncomfortable and hard, i.e. the last 8%, and that are often the most important conversations that aren’t happening,” AMI chair John Swick said in a statement. “He will provide the audience with tips and tools on how to gain the courage to have those difficult conversations and why this is critical to the success of building a high-performance team.”

Following the address, Benjamin will deliver the 60-minute breakout session “Leveraging the Science of Emotional Intelligence to Build a High-Performing Team.”
