Land ‘N’ Sea Distributing said its hybrid approach to trade shows in 2021 is paying dividends, with attendance up nearly 20 percent at its annual event at the Mohegan Sun Expo Center in Connecticut and overall sales up 30 percent from last year’s record show season.

After announcing earlier this year that its Marine & RV Dealer Trade Shows set for Las Vegas and Ohio would go forward as virtual events — with select shows to be held in-person — the Brunswick Corp. division sees its hybrid show format as a long-term solution for trade shows into the foreseeable future.

“Our successful virtual experience format combined with an in-person show this year was delivered flawlessly by our incredibly talented team [and] our hybrid solutions have enabled our dealers to engage with our leadership team and recognize our commitment to them,” said president Mike Conners in a statement. “Going forward, we will focus on both physical and virtual shows to maximize the opportunity to engage with our customers who prefer in-person shows and those who prefer to engage with us virtually.”

Paul Eliades, proprietor of Fred Chall Marine in Freeport, N.Y., agreed.

“Thank you to Land ‘N’ Sea for being the distributor that continues to invest in inventory when others were cancelling purchase orders. Not only did their efforts pay off and make them look like rock stars, but their dedication has resulted in them becoming an extension of our business and we thank them for that partnership,” Eliades said.
