Tenants at Lauderdale Marine Center have been pitching in to do their part in response to thecovid-19 pandemic, said Doug West, president of LMC.
Luu Marine manufactured 2,500 masks by hand and donated them to several Fort Lauderdale hospitals.
“Another great story about our tenant partners at LMC,” West posted on Instagram. “Tommy McGowen, principal of Engineered Yacht Solutions, reached out to the owner of our on-site restaurant, YOT, to ask about making a donation to YOT to prepare and deliver meals to local hospitals. Mike Linder, owner of YOT, reached out to several local hospitals, and they welcomed the gesture. When some of our other tenants heard the story, they stepped up as well.”
West said LMC has commitments from EYS, Advanced Mechanical Enterprises, Foster’s Yacht Service and Cheoy Lee totaling more than $10,000.
