Canada’s Maple Leaf Marinas said it acquired three facilities in Ontario. Midland, Ontario-based Maple Leaf now owns Baysville Marina on Lake of Bays, Wawautosa Trading Post and Marina on Six Mile Lake, and Huntsville Marine on Fairy Lake.

“The addition of these three facilities will further strengthen the company’s business model, which is based primarily on dockage, storage and service,” Maple Leaf senior vice president Derek Lubert said in a statement. “These marinas are 100 percent occupied and have been serving a cottager customer base for over four decades.”

The new properties bring Maple Leaf’s number of marinas to 15, serving more than 6,000 customers. It is Canada’s largest owner of freshwater marinas.

The company said it also acquired 2½ acres of land beside its Walkers Point Marina on Lake Muskoka, allowing an expansion that will include adding docks, drystack racks and more parking. Construction will begin this summer, the company said.
