Florida-based MarineMat officially became ISO 9001:2015 certified in July, the company announced.
The certification is the international standard that specifies requirements for quality management systems.
“The ISO 9001 certification enhances MarineMat’s standing in the industry. We have consistently met high-quality standards with our products and maintained strong customer service and this certification ensures this level of performance to our customers,” said Robby Wellden, general manager.
To become ISO 9001:2015 certified, companies must provide extensive documentation about their manufacturing processes, product information and how they track and respond to warranties. Many of the industry’s leading OEM companies have ISO 9001 certification and require their vendors to also have the certification.
MarineMat, owned by entrepreneur Greg Pickren, patented the first successful snap-in EVA traction mats in the marine flooring industry.
