This week, foam decking manufacturer MarineMat announced that it purchased a manufacturing facility in northern Slovakia in Považská Bystrica. Installation of equipment and production lines is underway, and the company plans to start operations at the site in early 2023.
“We are really excited about this new facility,” MarineMat owner and founder Greg Pickren said in a statement. “I lived and worked in Slovakia in the ’90s and have always been very impressed with the work ethic, skill and honesty of the Slovak people.”
Added Jozef Gasperec, general manager of the facility: “Our job in Slovakia will be to provide MarineMat’s European customers with fast and affordable delivery of custom-made, high-quality foam decking.”
The company says it will use the same materials suppliers, manufacturing technologies and ISO 9000 procedures employed at its factory in Florida.
