
Mercury Marine announced several personnel moves and promotions within its global leadership team.
Will Sangster was promoted to president of Mercury EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) after serving as general manager of ANZP (Australia, New Zealand and Pacific islands) since 2014 and assuming responsibility for the Asia-Pacific region in 2019. Under his leadership, Mercury APAC has continued to grow revenue and market share. Sangster will relocate to Mercury’s European headquarters in Petit-Rechain, Belgium.
Brad Zoelle was promoted to APAC general manager in place of Sangster. Zoelle joined Mercury from Brunswick Boat Group as general manager of Canada in 2020. Previously, he spent more than five years with Sea Ray in leadership positions. Jonathan Levine will replace Zoelle as general manager of Mercury Canada. Levine most recently served as vice president, strategy and finance, business acceleration.
Marty Bass, president of Mercury’s EMEA business for the past five years, will move back to the United States to take on a role to be announced. With Mercury for 15 years, Bass has held leadership positions that include vice president of category management based in Fond du Lac, Wis.
“The promotion of Will, Brad and Jonathan, as well as Marty’s new role, not only demonstrates our deep talent bench within Brunswick and Mercury, but also positions us for incredible success in the future,” Chris Drees, Mercury Marine president, said in a statement.
Sangster, Bass and Zoelle will transition to their new locations during the next few months.
