Yacht broker Merle Wood and Associates opened an office at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
The 2,000-square-foot office will house the brokerage’s Production and Custom Division, which focuses on yachts from such manufacturers as Azimut, Ferretti, Sunseeker and Hatteras. The firm’s headquarters will remain on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.
“We are thrilled to be in a position of growth where we can create new yacht brokerage jobs and expand even more by bringing on new, experienced, and passionate brokers to help continue the company’s legacy of being one of the most successful brokerages in the global yachting community,” Merle A. Wood, the company founder and president, said in a statement.
In business since 1988, Merle Wood & Associates will have more than a dozen yachts on display at the 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Boat show next week at Bahia Mar.
