The Massachusetts Marine Trades Association held its annual Business of Boating Conference on Jan. 25 in Foxboro, Mass. The conference drew 175 attendees, a 10% increase over last year.

“The BOB conference provides an opportunity for our members to come together to discuss concerns within the industry, with a common goal of coming up with solutions and ideas,” MMTA executive director Randall Lyons said in a statement. “It was great to see the increase in in-person attendance this year, with a solid number of first-time attendees.”

The conference included two lunchtime presentations: Massachusetts Lieutenant Gov. Kim Driscoll was named the 2023 MMTA Elected Official of the Year, and Warren Kelly, a former owner of Baert Marine, was presented the MMTA Frank Farrell Award.
