The Marine Retailers Association of the Americas announced that each member of its board of directors contributed to BoatPAC, the federal political action committee representing the recreational boating industry.

BoatPAC’s mission is to support all members of Congress, regardless of party affiliation, who understand the importance of the boating community.

The political action committee is a joint fund of MRAA, the National Marine Manufacturers Association and the Association of Marina Industries.

“BoatPAC is the most effective vehicle the boating industry uses to ensure that the MRAA and the boating industry at large remains at the table in all conversations that impact the well-being of our industry,” said MRAA president Matt Gruhn. “The MRAA board wanted to demonstrate its leadership in contributing to this mission and hopes that all boat dealers and others throughout the marine industry will follow suit and keep our industry’s advocacy efforts strong.”
