Neko Yacht Supply responded to demand from superyacht owners to provide home deliveries of food not only to their vessels, but to their villas as well.

The company has opened a new department, Villa Provisioning, to meet the growing demand to supply villas in the Mediterranean with provisions.

“Lots of our clients with yachts also own villas in the Mediterranean, and when we kept getting requests to supply their villas it led us to develop a department in December 2013 dedicated to just this,” Neko sales manager Joost van Gorsel said in a statement.

“We can now offer all the comforts of yacht provisioning in our clients’ homes, some of which request deliveries twice per week.”

Yacht-provisioning companies often go the extra nautical mile to satisfy their super-rich clientele, van Gorsel said.

“We had an experience with a past customer that required over six pallets of fresh fish, meat, vegetables and fruit from Holland to be delivered to their 110-meter motoryacht in Salalah, Dhofar, at very short notice,” van Gorsel said. “After flying from Amsterdam to London, from London to Doha and from Doha to Muscat, we then had to arrange for the provisions to travel 1,000 kilometers to the yacht by road in temperatures of 35 degrees C-plus (95 degrees F). We did it, of course.”

Neko services the yachting industry with provisions and technical products and has recently opened an office in St. Martin. The company is working with the Yachting Pages Media Group to reach out to the luxury yacht market.
