Nimbus Group announced today that Johan Inden will take the helm as CEO, effective Sept. 1, following the planned retirement of CEO Jan-Erik Lindström.

“His visionary leadership in developing companies and people, together with a strong focus on entrepreneurship, will be highly valuable in making Nimbus Group a stronger and larger player in the global boating industry,” board chairman Mats Engblom said in a statement.

Inden since 2018 had led Volvo Penta’s global operations as president of the marine business unit.

“I’m grateful for the board’s confidence and feel truly excited about this opportunity,” Inden said in the statement. “After spending many years in the marine industry, it’s hard to imagine a more inspiring and energizing role.”

Inden will be based at Nimbus Group headquarters in Gothenburg.

Nimbus Group brands include Aquador, Paragon, EdgeWater and Nimbus. It has operations in six countries, and sales are concentrated in Europe and North America.
