Nimbus Group announced that it entered into a framework agreement with Nautrik for the production and assembly of autonomous surface vessels. As part of the collaboration, Nimbus Group has delivered the first batch of units, which have completed planned acceptance and verification tests with positive results, according to a company press release.
“This agreement is a strong validation of Nimbus Group’s capabilities beyond the recreational boating market,” CEO Johan Inden said in the release. “We see growing demand for advanced marine platforms within defense and security applications, and our industrial expertise, production capacity and long experience in building high-performance boats make us a strong partner in this segment.”
Inden added that the “successful delivery and testing of the first units demonstrate both the strength of the solution and our ability to industrialize and manufacture advanced marine platforms in Sweden.”
Nimbus Group’s boat brands include Alukin, Aquador, EdgeWater, Falcon, Nimbus and Paragon.
