The National Marine Manufacturers Association announced that political strategists Adrienne Elrod and Kevin Madden will join Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier for a panel discussion at the 2019 American Boating Congress on Wednesday May 15 in Washington, D.C.

The session will examine the political and policy issues in the 116 U.S. Congress and the upcoming 2020 elections, according to the NMMA Currents newsletter.

Elrod is a democratic political strategist and a contributor to NBC and MSNBC. She provides commentary and analysis based on her experience in government and election campaigns. During the 2016 presidential campaign, she was Hillary for America’s director of strategic communications and surrogates. During Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign, Elrod served as regional press secretary, Texas communications director and deputy director of the congressional delegate selection office. A native of Arkansas, Elrod started her political career in President Bill Clinton’s administration, serving in the White House office of intergovernmental affairs and the department of housing and urban development.

Madden is a partner at Hamilton Place Strategies where he is an advisor and counselor to corporations, business associations, industry coalitions, foundations and nonprofits. He has more than 20 years of experience operating in high-profile national debates. Prior to his time at HPS, Madden was a senior advisor, strategist and spokesman on three Republican presidential campaigns from 2004 to 2016. He was also a congressional leadership staffer in the U.S. House of Representatives, working as spokesman and communications strategist in the office of the House Majority Leader. Madden was also deputy director of public affairs and national spokesman for the Department of Justice.
