The National Marine Manufacturers Association is encouraging participating manufacturers to schedule their annual certification inspections as early as possible to help support an efficient process and maintain the program’s rigorous standards, the organization said.

Manufacturers are encouraged to schedule their annual inspection within 30 days of signing their certification agreements.

“Completing inspections early in the model year can help identify any variations from certification requirements before a significant number of boats are produced,” NMMA said in a press release. “Addressing potential issues early allows manufacturers to implement corrective action sooner, reducing operational impacts while helping ensure NMMA-certified boats continue to meet recognized industry standards.”
