The National Marine Manufacturers Association is reporting a rise in U.S. outboard engine wholesale shipments in May.
The NMMA says shipments were up 4.3 percent on a rolling 12-month year-over-year basis in May. That was for the association’s control group of manufacturers, which represents 95 percent of the market.
The NMMA also reported that total engine retail sales, based on warranty card registrations, were up 8.9 percent on a rolling 12-month, year-over-year basis.
That makes the third consecutive month that engine sales have risen.
Access to the complete report is available to NMMA members who report their data to the association.
