The National Marine Representatives Association is offering a $3,000 scholarship to a student pursuing a career in the marine trades.
High school seniors, as well as college and vocational students, can apply here. Information must be received by April 1.
Scholarship recipients have worked in boatbuilding, logistics, design and the Merchant Marine. This year’s recipient will be announced this summer.
“The marine trades are often overlooked as a career choice,” Patrick Churchman, NMRA president, said in a statement. “But it’s a fulfilling life and often a lot of fun. We’re pleased to help promising young people who have chosen this vocational path, who will one day share their talents with our industry.”
