Since 2008, the National Marine Representatives Association has contributed to the future of the marine industry with scholarships to people who pursue an education and a career in the maritime trades.
Two $1,500 scholarships will be awarded this year. High school seniors and college and vocational students can request an application from NMRA at [email protected].
Schools are encouraged to promote the scholarships. Applications are due July 1; the winners will be announced this summer.
“NMRA scholarships hold a special place in the life of our organization,” NMRA president Rob Gueterman said in a statement. “We’re always heartened to read the applications and know that the future of the marine industry will be in such talented and capable hands.”
