The National Women’s Sailing Association and BoatUS have opened nominations for the 2025 BoatUS/NWSA Leadership in Women’s Sailing Award.

The award recognizes an individual with a record of achievement in inspiring, educating and enriching the lives of women through sailing.

“Sailing teaches leadership skills, STEM skills, team-building and promotes enjoyment of nature and the responsibility,” NWSA president Debby Grimm said in a statement. “Both of our organizations help nurture the skills and sense of community to help sailors grow through their boating lives.”

Nominations can be made through Feb. 1. The winner will be announced at the NWSA conference in St. Petersburg, Fla., next June.
