Insurance provider Norman-Spencer Agency said it opened a new recreational marine operation in High Point, N.C.
The company said Jason Norman will lead the office as the underwriter production manager.
Norman will work directly with local retail agents to provide Norman-Spencer’s proprietary nationwide insurance recreational marine program and other recreational products to retail agents that service the recreational marine industry.
The program supports boat dealers, marinas, boat manufacturers, yacht clubs, boat clubs and recreational marine distributors.
“We are excited to expand our operations and begin to personally serve the Mid-Atlantic and Southern coastal region,” Norman-Spencer marine division president T. Clarke Smith III said in a statement. “The growth of our recreational marine program will allow us to personally bring our strong carrier backing, specialized claims handling, full suite of tailored coverage and competitive pricing to recreational marine facilities in these regions.”
Norman has been with the company since 2010, most recently working with the Norman-Spencer marine team. He previously was the underwriting manager for Norman-Spencer’s proprietary concrete pumping program.
The new High Point operation is active immediately.
