OceanPoint Marine Lending, a division of BankNewport, announced the addition of JP Shipman as a yacht finance specialist. In this role, Shipman will deliver professional yacht financing solutions to a wide range of clients, supporting their yacht purchases.
“JP’s deep knowledge of the superyacht space, combined with his extensive network and client-first approach will be an asset to our growing team,” OceanPoint Marine Lending vice president and national sales manager Dustin Howard said in a statement. “We are thrilled to welcome him aboard and continue enhancing our offerings for high-end recreational lending.”
Prior to joining OceanPoint, Shipman held leadership roles at Superyacht Lending, Camper & Nicholsons, Engel & Völkers Yachting and Northrop & Johnson. He is a past board member of the International Superyacht Society and an active member of the U.S. Superyacht Association and The International Seakeepers Society.
Shipman, a resident of Fla., will serve the areas of Naples and Palm Beach, in addition to Newport, R.I., and Nantucket, Mass.
