The Missouri State Highway Patrol has opened the last section of the Osage River that had been closed to recreational boating because of high water.

At one point, the river had been closed from the Missouri River to the Bagnell Dam because of flooding. It was partly re-opened in mid-June as conditions improved and high waters receded.

With the river open, the patrol said boaters should still avoid creating wakes in areas where there are still high water levels and they should be alert for more floating debris than usual.
