Jeffrey Wisniewski, the owner and president of MTI Industries, which manufactures Safe-T-Alert gas fume, fire and bilge alarms for boats and RVs, died Aug. 10 after a long illness.
He began working for MTI in 1991 and held positions including production manager, general manager and vice president. Wisniewski took over as president in 2009 when his parents Tom and Sandi Wisniewski retired. Jeff’s proudest achievement was MTI’s patent for its RV dual carbon monoxide and propane detector.
“While the MTI organization will greatly miss Jeff and his leadership, business partners can understand that company operations will continue without disruption with Kelly Wisniewski as the new president,” the company said in a statement. “Our new manufacturing facility is fully operational and a team has been put in place to assure a smooth transition, while keeping Jeff’s values and vision for MTI moving forward.”
