Seattle Yachts said that it has acquired Northern Marine, a boatbuilder based in Anacortes, Washington. Terms were not disclosed.

The company said in a statement that the purchase includes the Northern Marine brand, the shipyard in Anacortes, the tooling, and intellectual property.

“We are thrilled to offer Northern Marine to our clients alongside our other new cruising yacht brands that include Alaskan, American Tug, Endurance, Hampton, Northwest, Regency and Whitehaven Yachts,” said Peter Whiting, managing partner of Seattle Yachts, in a statement. “The Northern Marine shipyard is a very modern yard with a lot of very skilled craftsmen. This opens up a lot of potential for our Alaskan and Northwest brands.”

Northern Marine has models from 57 to 100 feet LOA. “As part of the acquisition we will also have complete tooling for the 57, 64, and much of the 80,” said Whiting.

The company will be displaying a Northern Marine 57 at the Boats Afloat Show this week in Seattle.

Seattle Yachts has brokerage offices in the Pacific Northwest, Southern California and Fort Lauderdale. It recently purchased the Alaskan Yachts brand and was named dealer for Hampton on the east coast.
