Active Interest Media (AIM) has named Jeff Moser the new editor-in-chief of Passagemaker magazine.

Moser most recently was the editor-in-chief of sister publication Soundings Trade Only and formerly the executive editor of AIM title Power & Motoryacht.

“Jeff ramped up quickly and delivered lots of positive changes to Trade Only during his tenure,” said Gary DeSanctis, president of AIM’s Marine Group. “With the marine industry contacts he made at Trade Only and his exposure to the recreational boating space while working at Power & Motoryacht, I know he’s going to knock it out of the park at Passagemaker.”

“I’m happy we’ve been able to fill two top editors’ roles from within,” said Bill Sisson, the editorial director for the AIM Marine Group. “We’re fortunate to have an experienced staff, one where employees get opportunities to step up into roles with more responsibilities and challenges. I think Jeff Moser, who has a background in consumer titles, is a great fit on Passagemaker, which has a long history of serving those who love cruising under power.”

“When I look back at my two years with Soundings Trade Only, I will reflect positively on what we accomplished as a team — increasing our social media reach by sixfold, a complete redesign of our daily e-news, a new logo and our continued commitment to covering the marine industry during a time of record growth,” said Moser. “I’m thrilled to take over the editor-in-chief post at Passagemaker. The position offers me the opportunity to return to my roots as marine journalist on an iconic title.”
