Perko’s advanced line of navigation lights for vessels over 20 meters, or 65.6 feet, was granted American Bureau of Shipping Type Approval, company vice president of sales and marketing George Bellwoar said.
“Perko is proud to have accomplished this compliance, which results in a Type Approval that will help us better meet our customers’ needs,” Bellwoar said. “Our heavy-duty navigation lights for vessels over 20 meters meet the technical and safety requirements of the shipping industry.”
ABS Type Approval is a voluntary program that certifies companies around the world as being in compliance with industry specifications for design, manufacturing and consistency. ABS is recognized by more than 100 governments.
