Perko Inc., has received an executive order (#RM-17-021) from the California Air Resources Board for its pressure-relief valve used in fuel systems.
The order says that boats equipped with the Perko pressure relief valve will be acceptable to CARB for model year 18. The valve also meets Environmental Protection Agency requirements.
The Perko valve is a double-acting unit that relieves pressure over 1 psi, meeting both EPA and CARB requirements and relieves vacuum allowing additional make-up air into the system when engines are running. Perko installs the valve in a variety of fuel fills and caps and in P-traps to give boat manufacturers options for system design.
