PHOTO COURTESY PROPSPEEDFoul-release coatings manufacturer Propspeed has introduced the “Like A Pro” kit, which includes a Coverage Calculator app, Stripspeed coating remover and a new application kit.
On a computer or other smart device, the user selects powerboat or sailboat, monohull or multihull, boat size, engines and type of propulsion to determine the amount of foul-release coating needed, Propspeed said in a statement. The calculator also gives an estimate for the amount of Stripspeed coating remover required.
“The Like a Pro toolkit is the result of our partners and customers sharing with us how we can make Propspeed an even more valuable part of their marine business or boating experience,” Propspeed marketing manager Lina Leks told Trade Only Today. “The toolkit was developed to elevate confidence, increase accessibility and empower all marine businesses and boaters alike with Propspeed’s foul-release system, support and service.”
A new product, Stripspeed is a non-toxic gel that adheres to metal surfaces to remove old coatings. It is non-flammable, non-caustic, and DCM- and NMP-free. The application kit includes two paint trays, a roller handle and two 4-inch rollers, one for the base and one for the clear coat.
