Fort Pierce, Fla.-based builder Pursuit Boats said it achieved a significant safety milestone: surpassing 1 million work hours without a lost-time incident during a 290-day period.
“Safety is one of our top priorities,” company president Bruce Thompson said in a statement. “We are so proud of our team of employees and all their hard work, dedication and attention to detail that allowed us to reach this important milestone.”
The company marked the occasion Dec. 15 with an awards ceremony, catered lunch and a raffle with more than $10,000 in prizes. In addition, environmental health and safety manager Angela Musiol was acknowledged for her role in reaching the milestone.
“Angie’s dedication to our employees and to maintaining a safe environment in both plants was key in reaching this important milestone. We are thankful for her determination and enthusiasm,” Thompson said.
