Fort Pierce, Fla.-based Maverick Boat Group announced the promotions of two longtime employees. Skip Lyshon, who has been with the company for 27 years, is now vice president of sales. Charlie Johnson, who started with the company in 2003, is vice president of marketing. “It is my absolute pleasure and a blessing to work with these two professionals,” CEO Scott Deal said in a statement.
Navico said it opened an office and training center in Fort Lauderdale to enhance its presence in Florida and work more closely with resellers, dealers, builders, consumers and major shows. The new location will offer presales guidance, post-sale support, and technical training for dealers and installers, as well as classroom instruction for consumers. Navico said in a statement that it plans to expand more next year.
Yamaha Marine said it is offering financing incentives on new 4-stroke outboard purchases through Sept. 4. “Customer demand for boating is soaring, and this offer provides a great way to upgrade outboard power through a competitive finance purchase option,” marketing division manager Dale Barnes said in a statement. “Customers who choose to buy now can reap the benefits of low interest rates for an extended period of time.”
