After opening a 10,000-square-foot showroom in Niceville, Fla., Emerald Coast Marine added brands to its portfolio, including Solace Boats, which it will represent for the entire northern Gulf Coast. The dealer also added Key West, Blackfin and Monterey at its Orange Beach, Ala., location, and Monterey at Destin and Niceville locations. “It has been a banner year across the board for Emerald Coast Marine Group, and we are very pleased to have the opportunity to … meet the needs and demands of the markets we serve,” group president Shawn Talpey said in a statement.
Clearwater, Fla.-based New Nautical Coatings — parent company of Sea Hawk Paints, Blue Water Marine Paints, Flexdel/Aquagard Paints and Hawk Epoxy — named Doug Laue as CFO. “Doug brings over 20 years of successful contribution providing strategic, tactical and financially responsible leadership for top companies to this newly created position, making him the ideal person to join our executive team for the continued execution of our business strategies,” CEO Erik Norrie said in a statement.
