Opa-Locka, Fla.-based Invincible Yachts has tapped Outdoor World as its representation in the Caribbean marketplace for its line of monohull and catamaran center consoles. The territory would go from St. Maarten to St. Lucia. “We were already seeing a tremendous amount of growth in the Caribbean market, which makes having an established and reputable retail and service partner in the region even more paramount,” said Invincible CEO John Dorton in a statement.
Navy firefighters and fire crews from San Diego and as far away as Ventura County made “significant progress” on the fire on board the amphibious assault vessel Bonhomme Richard, but it is still uncertain when the fire will be fully extinguished, according to multiple sources including The San Diego Union Tribune. “We still have an active fire, which we are combating both from within and externally from multiple access points,” Rear Adm. Philip Sobeck told the Tribune. According to the Navy, 38 sailors and 23 civilians have been treated, mostly for minor injuries related to firefighting.
