Add Kicker Marine Audio to the list of marine companies contributing to the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic. Stillwater Designs, its parent company, said in a statement it donated more than 9,500 masks to medical centers in the Stillwater and Tulsa, Okla., with an additional 500 shipping to hospitals in New York City. The company also is 3-D-printing the bands that hold medical face shields in place.

KVH Industries announced it will add the Mediterranean region to its Elite service for HD streaming aboard yachts. The dedicated service, which has no overage charges or data limits, was launched last October in the Caribbean, where, the company said, it was well-received by both privately owned and charter yachts.

Patrick Industries said net sales decreased about 3 percent in the first quarter, with a 9.6 percent increase in operating income and a 6.7 percent operating margin expansion of 80 basis points. In the marine segment, which accounts for around 13 percent of sales, revenues of $78 million were a decrease of 14 percent, while powerboat wholesale unit shipments decreased 18 to 20 percent.

Groupe Beneteau said it will resume production at its Marion, S.C. facility May 4 after pausing operations for several weeks due to the covid-19 pandemic. “Groupe Beneteau has put many protective measures in place, keeping each employee’s safety at the forefront of importance,” COO Yannick Madiot said in the statement.
