Raymarine and FLIR Maritime announced the addition of three staff members. Gordon Sprouse was named director of marketing for the Americas, Rachel Appel was named events coordinator, and Jim Hands was named technical marketing director.

“As our brands continue to thrive, we recognize the need for a versatile marketing team,” Jamie Dery, Raymarine and FLIR Maritime vice president, Americas, said in a statement. “Gordon is intimately familiar with this market and offers an incredible perspective on the promotion of the brand, while Rachel will add fresh experience to our event experience. Combining this with Jim’s renewed focus on product marketing and digital strategy, we are confident that our marketing team is set up for the best possible success.”

Sprouse assumed his new role in March. He previously held marketing positions with Navico. Hands has been part of the Raymarine marketing department for more than 20 years and was marketing director for more than 16 years.

Appel will represent Raymarine and FLIR Maritime at consumer and trade shows, and her responsibilities include planning and organizing these events.
