Soundings Trade Only today is opening registration for the annual 1+1 Mentoring Program, which connects individuals in the early stages of their boating careers with industry leaders for one-on-one conversations. Registration runs through May 31, and the sessions will take place June 13-23.
The first series kicks off at 9 a.m. (ET) June 13 with keynote speaker and brand strategist Lauren Jones, founder and CEO of Brand by Boudica. The Mentoring Program is sponsored by Correct Craft, West Marine, MarineMax, Volvo Penta, Sea Tow, Luxury Financial Group and the Marine Retailers Association of the Americas.
“The 1+1 program connects people at the start of their careers with marine industry leaders,” Michele Goldsmith, vice president and general manager of the Soundings Trade Only Group, said in a statement. “These leaders represent a broad range of industry sectors and disciplines, such as operations, associations and more. All the meetings take place virtually, providing an invaluable opportunity for individuals to interact with a prominent leader for their personal growth, career guidance, to learn and build their network. Now in its third year, approximately 90% of mentors and mentees have remained in contact.”
The 1+1 Mentoring Program is a part of Soundings Trade Only’s Women in the Industry series, which has engaged more than 1,600 individuals worldwide since its inception in June 2021.
