Sail magazine, an Active Interest Media publication, won gold awards in the 2012 Eddie and Ozzie Awards competition.

The awards program, the largest of its kind for magazine publishers, spans print and digital, with Eddies honoring the best in editorial and Ozzies the best in design.

Sail won a gold Eddie Award in the Business to Business, Recreation/Sports/Outdoor, Full Issue category for its January 2012 issue. The magazine won a gold Ozzie Award for Best Use of Photography in the 100,000 to 250,000 circulation category for “Under Sail” in its February 2012 issue.

AIM is the publisher of enthusiast magazines that include Soundings and Soundings Trade Only.

The award winners were honored Wednesday during a lunch event in New York.
