The board of directors of The Sailing Museum and National Sailing Hall of Fame in Newport, R.I., announced the hiring of Jared Casci as administrator and volunteer coordinator, Kelly Connell as special events manager, and Michelle Zachary as development and membership manager.
“We’re so excited to expand our capabilities with these talented individuals joining our team,” Ashley Householder, executive director of The Sailing Museum, said in a statement. “They each come from such diverse backgrounds and bring to the table a great deal of potential for outstanding contribution to our work and mission. We know that they’re going to be amazing assets as we continue to promote and grow the programs at the museum.”
Casci will provide cross-departmental support for administrative tasks and will expand the volunteer program through recruitment and training. He previously worked in archives at Mullerhaus Legacy in Oklahoma and the National Archives and Records Administration in Ohio
Connel will draw from her background in event planning for the Linden Place museum in Bristol, R.I. In her new role, she will focus on furthering the museum’s mission to engage with the community.
Zachary’s experience includes work as a membership engagement specialist and administrative assistant for the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce in Eugene, Ore. Her responsibilities at the museum will include overseeing the donor and membership databases and fundraising records, and managing membership programs.
