Sanguineti, a subsidiary of components manufacturer Quick Group, announced that it relocated to a new, 86,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Casarza Ligure, Italy. The €4-plus-million facility includes a €1.6 million ($1.83 million) investment in new equipment.
Sanguineti manufactures such items as gangways, ladders, hand rails, deck equipment and anchors.
“With our acquisition by Quick Group came exciting opportunities for development and investment in a custom-designed headquarters and production facility, twice the size of the [previous] Chiavari site,” Sanguineti managing director Simone Lorenzano said in a statement. “This new location is close enough to the original site to ensure we could retain our artisanal workforce and stay near many of the major Italian superyacht shipyards we supply, while also enabling closer collaboration with our partner companies under the Quick Group umbrella.”
Sanguineti’s new production equipment includers CNC milling machines, waterjet cutters and lathes, which are connected digitally to the design office and a newly built paint shop. The facility is designed to strengthen interdepartmental collaboration and improve technical flow.
