Saxdor Yachts announced that chief executive officer Erna Rusi has left the company, by mutual agreement. Saxdor, a Malibu Boats brand, is identifying a new CEO to lead its future development, the company stated in a press release.
Eric Lindquist, Malibu chief growth officer, was named interim CEO.
“We would like to thank Erna for everything she has contributed to Saxdor over the past five years. The growth and momentum the company has achieved are a testament to the strength of the team and the vision built together,” Lindquist said in the release.
“As we look ahead, our priority is to find the right leader to guide Saxdor into its next chapter. We are committed to preserving Saxdor’s autonomy and ensuring that it continues to operate and grow as a standalone global brand, with its own distinct identity, ambitions and close relationships with its partners and customers. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and confident in Saxdor’s continued potential.”
Saxdor separately announced that production has started in the United States. Complementing Saxdor production operations in Poland and Finland, Malibu Boats’ facility in Fort Pierce, Fla., will support the company “in responding to the growing demand for its boats, including across the Americas.”
“The Americas represent a key market for Saxdor, and we are continuing to invest in the foundations needed to support its long-term growth,” Don Smith, president of sales for the Americas, said in the release. “With the first 320 GTO now completed and more models to follow, we are bringing our production closer to our U.S. customers while continuing to invest in the dealer, service and product infrastructure needed to support our long-term ambitions in the region.”
