
The Sea Tow Foundation presented its annual National Boating Safety Awards this week during the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference.
“We are proud of the hard work that these remarkable organizations undertook as they lead the way in promoting safe boating across the industry,” executive director Gail R. Kulp said in a statement. “Their innovative campaigns and dedication to safety have made a profound impact, contributing to a safer boating experience for all.”
This year’s award winners are:
• Marine Manufacturer: Bayliner Boats, National Safe Boating Week Daily Safety Tips campaign
• Media Outlet: Bullitage Media, Water Ways TV, “60 Seconds of Safety” segment
• Gear & Equipment Manufacturer: Garmin, safe boating campaign
• Marine Trade Association: National Marine Manufacturers Association, “Discover Boating Top Safe Boating Tips” video series, in partnership with Progressive
• Social Media Influencer: BoatClass, organic social media boating safety and instruction campaign
• Marine Business – General (new category: Freedom Boat Club, new member safety orientation and training program
• Community Boating Education (two programs): BoatClass, on-water training program; Whitman Marine Training, community outreach and training programs, including classroom courses and on-water training modules
