Sea Tow Services International presented awards to its franchises Nov. 12-15 at its annual meeting in Orlando, Fla., an event that also marked the company’s 30th anniversary.

“Franchise of the Year” went to Sea Tow Boston for an unprecedented second time. Sea Tow Boston, which also won the award in 2004, is co-owned by captains Dave and Steve Winkler, who were surprised and delighted to be honored once again.

“Rookie of the Year” went to Capt. Chris Ward, owner of Sea Tow South Mississippi.

The Georgia Frohnhoefer Award, named for and presented by Sea Tow executive vice president Georgia Frohnhoefer, wife of founder, CEO and Capt. Joe Frohnhoefer, is given annually to the female member of a Sea Tow franchise who makes the biggest contribution to its daily operations. Karen Schrader, vice president of Sea Tow Hampton Roads, Va., received this year’s award.

“This year’s Sea Tow annual meeting, which kicks off our 30th anniversary year, was one of our most inspiring meetings ever, bringing our franchisees together to exchange ideas and information that can help each other provide Sea Tow members and other boaters with the highest possible level of professional service,” Joe Frohnhoefer said in a statement. “It also gave us an opportunity to honor many outstanding members of the Sea Tow network for their performance in the past year.”
