Turkish yard Sirena Marine has promoted Çağın Genç, its former chief operating officer, to CEO. İpek Kıraç, the outgoing CEO, was named president of the company and will continue as its chairwoman.
Genç has been with Sirena for over 13 years, serving as production manager, plant director and director of marine before becoming its COO in 2019.

The builder currently produces four powerboat models from 58 to 88 feet as well as Azuree and Euphoria sailing vessels. Its latest Sirena, the 68, premiered at last month’s Cannes Yachting Festival.
Genç built on the company’s plans to extend its model line into superyacht territory, to be presented at next year’s Monaco Yacht Show.

“We will have three new semi-custom models between around 30 and 50 meters in length and below 500 GT that will retain the design DNA of our existing fleet,” said Genç in a statement. “We’ve just completed our internal briefing for the superyacht range and the next stage will be to ask our favorite designers to come up with concept proposals.”
