The annual Skeeter Owner’s Bass Tournament was held on Lake Fork, Texas, June 3 to 6, with about 2,000 anglers competing in more than 1,000 Skeeter boats.
The tournament was postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic, but came back strong this month on Lake Fork, based at the Lake Fork Marina and Hotel in Alba, Tex.
Arlen Hauschild from Seguin landed a 9.82 pound bass, which took home the grand prize of a new 2021 Skeeter FXR, 20 with a 250-horsepower Yamaha V MAX SHO.

“We were so excited to bring this annual family event back in 2021 — it’s an iconic tournament for both the Yamaha and Skeeter brands,” Jeff Stone, senior vice president/general manager of Skeeter Boats said in a statement. “Even though things looked a little different this year with social distancing measure in place, we were thrilled with the response to the tournament.”
Timothy McNeal from Knoxville, Tenn., won second prize, a Yamaha Wolverine X4 XT-R Side-by-Side.
“This event is our way of thanking all Skeeter boat owners, past, present and future, who helped get us to where we are today. We look forward to seeing everyone again in 2022,” said JoAnne O’Bryant, senior marketing projects manager.
