SkipperBud’s to Manage Great Lakes Marina

North Point Marina, located between Chicago and Milwaukee, has 1,500 slips.

SkipperBud’s, a subsidiary of MarineMax and a full-service dealership, announced yesterday that it will assume management responsibilities for North Point Marina beginning with the 2026 boating season. Located between Chicago and Milwaukee, North Point is adjacent to Illinois Beach State Park.

“We are honored to partner with North Point Marina,” said Todd Riepe, regional president, SkipperBud’s, in a statement. “We look forward to bringing our customer-focused approach and operational standards to the marina and enhancing the boater experience while preserving its important role in the region’s recreational boating community.”

Founded in 1959, SkipperBud’s has locations spanning Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois and Ohio. It operates 10 marinas with 1,200 slips, six drystack buildings for 1,500 boats, and winter storage for more than 5,000 vessels.
