Smartgyro, the La Spezia, Italybased gyrostabilizer manufacturer, has announced it will introduce an expanded range of SG units to the European and U.S. markets at several key shows and exhibitions this year.

The current models, the SG40 (for boats from 50 to 60 feet) and the SG80 (for vessels up to 80 feet) are shipping to dealers and customers. The new SG20 was developed for boats in the 45- to 55-foot range. All models can be refitted or installed on new vessels.

The three-model portfolio from the Yanmar company are set to premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival from Sept. 7-12 and the following week’s Genoa Boat Show (Sept. 16-21). They will also showcase the lineup to the U.K. market (through dealer Golden Arrow Marine) at the Southampton International Boat Show, which runs Sept. 10-19.

In November, the company will exhibit at Metstrade (Nov. 16-18) at RAI Amsterdam.

Those attending U.S. shows will see the Smartgyro lineup at:

• IBEX, Sept. 28-30

• Annapolis Powerboat Show, Oct. 7-10

• Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Oct. 27-31

The company said its focus during show season is to highlight the benefits of the Smartgyro stabilizers, including reduced vessel downtime with seamless installation and onboard maintenance.

Smartgyro also announced that it expanded its dealer network, adding South Shore Marine & Diesel in Ireland and Sunshine Marine in China.
