Soundings Trade Only added two industry executives to the judging panel for the magazine’s annual Top 10 Most Innovative Marine Companies Awards.
Nancy Cueroni is executive director of the National Marine Distributors Association and the Outdoor Power Equipment and Engine Service Association. Scott de Recat is a former partner with the sales representative firm Derema Group. The judging panel will include senior editorial and publishing leaders and executives from Soundings Trade Only and parent Active Interest Media.
“Every year we look forward to telling the story of how leadership, creativity and innovation are progressing in the marine industry,” Gary Reich, editor-in-chief of Soundings Trade Only, said in a statement. “We are honored that Nancy and Scott will join our judging panel this year.”
The awards program honors companies that are disrupting the marketplace and innovating in ways that drive progress in the boating industry. The awards are open to companies from around the world.
The judges will review a broad range of initiatives in the following categories:
• altruism/social awareness
• development and technology
• work culture
• manufacturing process/supply chains
• startups
• sustainability
• other
Participants are encouraged to submit multidimensional applications crossing multiple categories and to remember that the awards recognize a company, not a single product.
The awards will focus on the period from Aug. 17, 2023, to Aug. 16, 2024, and applications can be submitted through Aug. 16 at 11:59 p.m.
