Soundings Trade Only has rescheduled several events that were supposed to take place the day before the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference opened in September. The events and IBEX were canceled because of Hurricane Ian.
The events are now scheduled for Oct. 2, 2023, the day before IBEX opens, at the Marriott Tampa Water Street.
There will be a Women in the Industry Summit and Leadership Panel led and moderated by speaker Alicia M. Rodriguez, the Most Innovative Marine Company Awards ceremony, and a reception.
“We had planned an extraordinary, transformational day of events with content and experiences that we were excited to share with the industry,” Soundings Trade Only publisher Michele Goldsmith said in a statement. “It was heartbreaking to have to cancel; however, we are organizing an even bigger, better event in 2023.”
The events are again an IBEX presession, and tickets can be purchased when registering for next year’s show, starting next May.
Soundings Trade Only is holding a virtual Women in the Industry session with Rodriguez on Dec. 13 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. (ET). The theme for the free event is “Gearing up for Success and Joy in 2023.”
“We look forward to seeing everyone in December as we gather with Alicia, who will provide keen insights on how to prepare yourself for success and happiness in the new year,” Goldsmith said.
The events are sponsored by Correct Craft, Grady-White Boats, MarineMax, Mercury Marine, MRAA, Regulator Marine, Roswell Marine, Sea Tow, Simona, Volvo Penta of the Americas and West Marine.
