OneWater Marine/T-H Marine Supplies acquired accessories maker Star brite in August and this month named Gregor Dornau president of the company. Since the acquisition was completed, Dornau has built a new leadership team from within.
Erik Applegate will serve as executive vice president; Eric Hahn will take over as senior vice president of sales; Derick Cote will assume the roles of vice president of product, and Kouri Carey is now the new vice president of brand and marketing.
“I have always felt we have the best team in the entire marine industry, and a lot of our success is due to the outstanding work of this group leading our sales and manufacturing efforts,” Dornau said in a statement. “When combined with our manufacturing team in Alabama, customer service, [and the] operations and finance teams here in Fort Lauderdale, I am confident we will have a winning organization for many years to come.”
Former Star brite president and CEO Peter Dornau is stepping into a senior consultant role in the company’s European division. Marc Emmi, former senior vice president of sales, will join him as senior consultant to the Star brite sales team in lieu of retirement.
Gregor Dornau has grown up at Star brite, holding various roles over the course of a career that has spanned more than 35 years. Most recently, he was executive vice president.
Applegate has been with Star brite for 10 years and has worked his way up to managing major retail and distribution accounts. Hahn has had a 12-year tenure at the company and will step into Emmi’s former senior vice president position, where he will manage all aspects of sales for Star brite in the marine and RV segments. Cote has more than a decade with Star brite and will manage the automotive division. Carey has overseen creative direction and marketing for Star brite for more than five years and will continue to focus on the company’s branding.
