Sunstream Boat Lifts has announced a lineup of what the company calls next-generation boat lift accessories for its SunLift SLX hydraulic boat lift, including guide ons and a goal-post bow stop.

The products are designed for the SLX lift’s extruded shape called the Sqround — not square and not round — which combines the best qualities of both, with smooth curves and soft edges to keep telescoping sections from falling out of alignment.

“We are continually striving to make the entire boat lift experience easier and more enjoyable,” Ken Hey, CEO of Sunstream Boat Lifts said in a statement. “Our new guide on and bow stop accessories are designed to enhance the aesthetic of the SunLift SLX, while improving the functionality, durability and assembly time of our products. In addition, they are intended to be as unobtrusive as possible, displaying more of the boat, while understating the lift.”

The SunLift SLX goal-post bow stop nudges the bow to the center and gives users a visual reference for correctly placing the boat fore and aft on the lift. The waterline band gives a visual reference for the correct height of the lift when loading the boat.

The V beam that stops the boat is shaped to direct the bow inward, different than typical hoop-style stops, which tend to push the bow off center, the company said.

Sunstream’s unbreakable guide bunk bracket uses a single set bolt instead of the traditional clamp with multiple bolts, providing a cleaner look and saving time during installation and adjustment.

The guide ons are the first on the market with adjustable height, the company said, which enables them to match the rub rail elevation. An optional step also simplifies boarding.

“Sunstream really nailed it with their new Sqround guides,” said Rich Tucker, president, Harry T. Tucker & Sons, a boat-lift sales and installation company in Connecticut. “I also love how they look, and how fast they are to install and adjust.”
